"springs to come" solo exhibition at Antonio Colombo Arte Contemporanea

I am extremely excited to return to the Antonio Colombo Arte Contemporanea (Milan) with my solo exhibition "Spring to Come", which opens Thursday February 15th. The opening reception starts at 6 pm, and I will be in attendance. The show, my fifth at Colombo, features new oil and gouache paintings, as well as drawings, a small installation of preporatory sketches and studies for the exhibition, along with books and prints. Curated by Ivan Quaroni, with a soundtrack by Via Mardot, the works explore rebirth, growth, germination and proliferation. The show runs until March 28th.

New T-shirt Trio Preorders Now Open

"Batman" print and drawing auction to aid Fiona victims

I have posted a fundraiser auction on Ebay or the Canadian Red Cross to aid victims and communities impacted by Hurricane Fiona in Atlantic Canada. This pack will contain:

-one “Batman vs. the Bog Mummy” (40 of 40) limited edition giclee print (now sold out); image size: 12 x 16 inches / paper size: 16 x 20 inches (includes Certificate of Authenticity)

-the rare Batzine (signed by the artist), published by Desert Island Comics

-an ORIGINAL colored pencil sketch portrait entitled “Melting Batman”; size: 4.5 x 6.5 inches

-four postcards

"Vile-O-Vision" Solo Exhibition

After a nearly two and a half years break from solo shows, my "Vile-O-Vision" exhibition opens at the Corey Helford Gallery (Los Angeles, CA). The exhibition opens Saturday, February 19th, and is an informal follow up to "FREEKS" (also shown at Corey Helford), with a new cast of intensely rendered misfits. The show is comprised of approximately fifteen brand new paintings, half of them oil and half gouache.

Limited Edition "Batman Print Set"

Limited to a strict edition of 50, This "Batman Print Set" includes two high quality giclee prints of Heshka's renditions of imagined golden age Batman covers, along with the much coveted Batman zine (featuring Heshka's various Batman paintings, his childhood Batman art and foreign vintage Batman panels from his collection), published by Desert Island Comics (Brooklyn, NY), and three brand new postcards.

 

Print size: image is 8.5 x 11 inches, and paper is 11 x 14 inches (which will fit a standard sized frame). Zine size: 6 x 8 inches, 34 pages full color. The prints are hand-titled and numbered, and the prints and zine are signed by the artist.
